The Venice Film Festival (Mostra del cinema di Venezia) was founded in 1932, this is the first film festival in the world.
The importance and the undeniable prestige of the venetian festival is witnessed by the presence in the various editions of the best of international cinema. Every year between late August and early September the Lido is transformed, by hosting international stars, ordinary people and journalists from all over the world.
